Nespresso: Master Origin range05 Sep 2018
Combining some of the world’s most vibrant landscapes and best coffee sourcing regions with sustainable farming practices, Nespresso introduces its new Master Origin range – seven handcrafted varieties from the world’s finest coffee sourcing regions.
Including seven new single-origin coffee varieties, the range adds five new coffees to the Original Line, which will replace the existing Pure Origins, and the first two single-origin coffees exclusively for VERTUO. The Master Origin range will bring Australians on a sensorial journey to countries around the world that are rich in coffee culture, such as Indonesia and Colombia.
Never one to compromise on coffee quality or a commitment to sustainability, Nespresso formed partnerships with local farming experts through the Nespresso AAA Sustainable Quality™ Program, embarking on a mission to test innovative farming practices, all with the goal of crafting incredible new coffee aromas and tastes. Originally established in 2003 in collaboration with Rainforest Alliance, the AAA Program now includes more than 75,000 farmers worldwide.
Mitch Monaghan, Nespresso Coffee Ambassador explains, “While single-origin coffee is not a new concept for Australian coffee lovers, almost one-third of the population are still unsure of what the term means and do not know that processing techniques play an important role in the final aroma and taste of their coffee. With every Nespresso coffee, our in-house experts, alongside the farmers and agronomists in the field, work closely to define the exact methods needed to produce a particular flavour. In the case of Master Origin, we took this level of attention one step further to use unique processing techniques to yield aromas and tastes that we know our customers will love.”
Loïc Réthoré, General Manager of Nespresso Australia and Oceania adds, “These unique coffees reflect our commitment to sustainably source 100% of our permanent coffee range through the AAA Program by 2020. It is due to the long-term trusting relationships we have created with coffee farmers worldwide that has allowed us to continue taking risks and challenging ourselves to bring our customers new coffee varieties, including our two first-ever permanent Fairtrade certified coffees.”
Nespresso is located on Ground Level.
