Best access to David Jones Ground Level

There are several ways to enter David Jones on Ground Level

  • David Jones Lifts: Access via David Jones lifts on B1 and B2 parking levels for direct access.
  • Central Escalators Lower Ground: Access directly into David Jones

Best access to Apple Ground Level

The best access to Apple is via Victoria Avenue lifts and escalators. These will provide direct access to Apple.

Best access to Kmart, Coles and Lower Ground Fresh Food, Dining and Elevated Daily Essentials

There are numerous ways to access the lower ground level - from Archer Street, Victoria Avenue and Havilah streets.

Archer Street escalators, Victoria Avenue stairs and lift plus direct access via the B1 and B2 carpark travelators.

The Malvern Avenue/Archer carpark entry will temporarily close on 15 March

Car Park levels G to level 3 will also temporarily close on 15 March

Access to the car park will be via Victoria Avenue only

Levels B1 and B2 remain open for parking

FAQ's

How long will the disruptions last?

Construction of the new Chase Market is well underway with staggered store openings commencing from November through to later in 2024. Construction for the main retail transformation project is set to commence on 15 March 2023 and is expected to be completed at the end of 2025.

Accessibility

Access to Apple will be via the Victoria Avenue entrance. David Jones ground level store access will be via the centre court escalators at Lower Ground, via the David Jones passenger lift from B1 and B2 and via the lifts near Coles on Lower Ground up to ground level and through a hoarding into David Jones. During this period, there will be additional wayfinding signage to direct customers to various stores as well as support from the Courtesy Crew. 

Chatswood Chase will remain open and operating throughout the planning and construction periods. We will ensure disruption is kept to a minimum.​

What's open and operating?

The new Chase Market on the centre's lower ground level will remain open and trading throughout the redevelopment of the retail centre. Different retailers are subject to different trading hours. New retailers will open in stages through to the end of 2024. The apple store and one level of David Jones will also remain open, Ground Level, with access via the Lower Ground escalator or lifts.
