There’s nothing better than a curation of things from people in the know, which is exactly why we’ve employed the services (and tastes) of the InStyle Australia team. Each month, we’re asking five members of the team to share one item from David Jones that’s on their wishlist, whether it be a piece for their home, a new pair of shoes, or a snack they can’t get enough of.

This month we’re gearing up for the Easter long weekend, where we’re planning on hosting laid back lunches and leaning into the cooler weather with cosy pieces to wear. From the chocolate one InStyle staff member gets every year to the picnic item another can’t do a long weekend gathering without, read on for the most stylish selects from those in the know.

These are my favourite Easter eggs ever. I’m not the biggest sweet tooth, but something about the crispy outer shell and jelly inside is so delicious and moorish. It’s not Easter in my house without a bag (or a few) of these around. — Grace Hannah, client services manager

Easter generally spells a long lunch in my house, and I always volunteer to do dessert. This year I’m thinking a multi-layered cake will be on the cards, and what better way to serve a show stopping dessert than with a show stopping stand? — Noni Reginato, content writer

As the weather cools, my skin gets a little dry, so I’ll be treating myself to a luxurious face mask this long weekend. This pack of five golden cream masks from Lancôme is a little indulgent — perfect for a weekend spent at home. — Elle Glass, managing editor

Autumn calls for amping up the warmth factor, and for a long weekend spent relacing you can’t go past some uber-comfy ugg boots. Mine are in need of replacing, and these slip-on ones from Ugg will last me for years to come. — Delaney Ashton, editorial coordinator
